What Are We Up To?

Monday, January 4th, 2010

December has been a busy month……We have had so many visitors and exciting adventures.  A small group of participants were able to attend a youth Christmas concert at the Eastfield Mall.  We enjoyed a picnic lunch and walked around enjoying their fabulous decorations.  Santa came to visit and delivered gifts to everyone.  Angelina the young girl who the program sponsored this year was Santa’s little helper.  She started her day a little bit shy but she soon caught on, and even helped others open their gifts!  What a wonderful day.

January brings in a new year and lots of great activities!  Our Adventure Club will be deciding on our Schedule for the year, planning trips for each month.  Peter will be performing every Friday morning; he has a new country music song book that he will be trying out!  Cali will be visiting weekly for our pet therapy, and don’t forget our bunny friends are here daily.

Give a dog a bone.

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

We have many new things happening at the program. We have been going out on small excursions into the community. Our most recent journey took us to the Quabbin Reservoir where we were lucky enough to have seen two deer and no mosquitoes!

Next we are going to be making dog bones that we will then donate to a local animal shelter. Everyone is very excited and can’t wait until we can make the delivery at the end of June!
