POSITION TITLE: RESIDENTIAL MANAGER (Highlands) Reports to Residential Program Administrator
Salary Range: $27,356 to $30,664 annually
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Human Services or related field.
* Experience in residential program management preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to act as an advocate for older adults.
* Experience in residential direct care.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
* Ability to supervise and coach employees to develop an effective team approach to treatment.
* Ability to delegate authority and responsibility to residential staff and ensure prompt follow-through.
* Ability to communicate both oral and written reports accurately and clearly.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Responsible for the care and well being of all consumers in the program.
2. Responsible for creating activities and opportunities for consumers using both agency and outside resources which promote independence and growth.
3. Responsibility in developing and maintaining a consistent routine for all consumers in the program.
4. Responsible for keeping agency professional staff informed of relevant information concerning consumers in a timely fashion.
5. Responsible for accurately maintaining and ensuring confidentiality of consumer, managerial, and residence reports, charts, records, and files.
6. Responsible for preparing and ensuring the implementation of individualized Daily Living Plans to be reviewed on a quarterly basis and revised annually.
7. Responsible for preparation of consumer progress notes, supplementary intervention plans, review of incident reports, and psychiatric pre-clinical reports on a regular basis.
8. Responsible for maintenance and for active participation of consumers in money management including balancing consumer checking accounts, paying consumer monthly bills, and providing consumers with any needed or requested items.
9. Responsible for planning weekly grocery shopping and menu preparation with consumers.
10. Responsible for all aspects of maintenance of residence by reporting any needs in a timely fashion.
11. Responsible for being on-call on a rotating basis.
12. Responsible for all residential duties as outlined in the Residential Support Staff job description.
13. Responsible for hiring all full-time employees for the residence abiding by all agency Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring Policies and Procedures.
14. Responsible for training/orienting all new employees at your residence to ensure the delivery of consistent, high quality care.
15. Responsible for annual employee evaluations as well as continuous performance reviews throughout the year.
16. Responsible for keeping the Personnel Manager informed of all employee/personnel issues and keeping personnel files updated with prompt, consistent corrective action and letters of appreciation.
17. Responsible for communicating “shared staff” performance with other residential managers/supervisors and coordinating any needed training, coaching, or corrective action with those individuals.
18. Responsible for the development of your employees by coaching, giving support, and allowing them to become active, productive members of the Team.
19. To be aware of your own emotional reaction to all situations in order to respond effectively and appropriately to the issues.
20. Responsible for collecting, organizing, and verifying information on all agency time sheets on an as needed basis.
21. To attend any on-site or off-site trainings, seminars, workshops, and scheduled meetings as directed by the Personnel Manager.
22. To perform other related duties which may arise.

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Residential Manager (McKinstry)
Reports to Residential Manager
HOURS: 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Wednesdays OFF, Every Other Sa/Su OFF)
SALARY: $12.25 p/hr ($25,480 annually)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Þ To be currently certified in MAP, CPR, and First Aid
Þ Demonstrated ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
Þ To have a reliable car at work on a daily basis
Þ Excellent communication and organizational skills
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
(1) To assist Residential Manager with data collection for Progress Notes.
(2) To regularly review residence Daily Logs for completion and accuracy.
(3) To ensure that Residential Support Staff are actively working on consumer goals on a regular basis.
(4) To ensure that Residential Support Staff are actively pursuing Money Management and Medication Training Programs with consumers on a regular basis.
(5) To perform weekly menu planning with consumers.
(6) To complete the Annual Assessment Packet with consumers to be reviewed at the annual Resource/ISP Meeting.
(7) To assume all managerial duties at the residence in the absence of the Residential Manager.
(8) To attend all Resource Meetings and other trainings/meetings as directed by the Residential Manager.
(9) To be on-call for Staffing on a rotating basis.
(10) To ensure that all shifts in the residence are covered on a month to month basis as directed by the Personnel Manager.
(11) To coordinate the submission and return of all Time Off Requests for the residence.
(12) To maintain all direct care responsibilities as outlined in the Residential Support Staff job description.
(13) To keep the Residential Manager appraised of all residence concerns, behavioral issues, and clinical observations.
(14) To serve as a role model and mentor to other staff and assist them as needed in understanding and performing their job.
(15) To perform other duties that may arise as directed by the Residential Manager.

POSITION TITLE: Residential Support Staff 517 Chicopee Street (Honeyman Residence)
SALARY: $10.65 – $10.85p/hr
HOURS: 11:00pm – 9:00am (Saturday, Sunday, & Monday OFF)
REPORTS TO: Residential Manager
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or G.E.D.
2. Experience in residential direct care with elderly mental health consumers preferable.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with specific needs and characteristics of older adults and those with mental illness living in the community
4. Ability to work non-judgmentally with consumers whose belief systems differ from one’s own or community norms.
5. Must have a reliable car available at all times to transport consumers
6. Ability to communicate both oral and written reports to other team members accurately, clearly, and concisely.
Essential Job Functions:
1. To assist consumers in meeting their treatment goals by providing supervision, support, counseling, and coaching for independence in completion of day to day tasks.
2. To maintain a calm, professional, friendly attitude when consumers are behaving in a difficult or verbally abusive way.
3. To assist in meeting personal care needs of consumers including situations such as bathing, dressing, shaving, incontinence, and toileting.
4. To maintain accurate, complete Consumer Records including, but not limited to, completion of consumer Daily Logs, Incident Reports, Medication Administration Records, PRN Records, Medication Occurrence Reports, and Consumer Cash Records.
5. To be able to read and understand all information contained in Consumer Records, Policy & Procedures Manual, Personnel Policy Manual, Communication Book, and all other written documents or manuals maintained at the worksite.
6. To assist consumers in keeping their homes safe and sanitary including vacuuming, making beds, mopping floors, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and laundering duties.
7. To be able to assist consumers who have ambulation difficulties or require assistance in transferring from a seated to a standing position (To be able to hold, carry, and lift 20 pounds).
8. To assist consumers in menu planning and meal preparation encouraging independence and freedom to complete those tasks independently as appropriate.
9. To understand and perform duties as part of a ‘team’ including flexible response to work site assignment and willingness to adjust work hours in order to assist teammates or the program in providing services to consumers.
10. To attend scheduled staff meetings, trainings, seminars, and workshops as directed.
11. To maintain professional work relationships with teammates and all other employees of the agency.
12. To be awake and alert at all times (excluding assigned Sleepover Shifts) in order to fulfill all job responsibilities and to quickly and effectively respond to emergencies and crisis situations.
13. To understand and consistently follow all established consumer behavior plans.
14. To understand the fluctuating needs and functioning levels of all consumers and to be able to adjust your approach and response accordingly.
15. To maintain certification in Medication Administration (MAP), CPR, and First Aid.
16. To perform any other related duties at the direction of a supervisor or administrative/support personnel.
